What's the Best Way to Sell a Wedding Dress?

Pin It Now! Don't gasp. Don't give me any sentimental lectures. I just want advice on selling an 11 year old wedding dress. If it is even possible to sell an 11 year old wedding dress.

Ebay doesn't seem like a good choice to me. I don't want the hassle of packing and shipping it.

I have thought about a consignment store. I've sold baby clothes via that route before, but just didn't know if there was a better way to sell in order to keep most or all of the profit.

Can anyone help???

Thanks a million!

I'd try craigslist.

I've seen many of those listed in the regular 'want-ad' section of our local newspaper.

You know you and I had the same wedding dress? So find a set of twins who want a dual wedding and I dell mine too.

Catching up on a bit of blog reading...

Love the Prince dream. Ha! I was a fan of his way back when also. Can't interpret it for you. But I can picture it and it gave me the giggles.

Any good consignment stores in the area for adults? What about a bridal store? They may be willing to do a consignment deal for you. Wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

I'm still holding out that one of my girls will want to someday wear my dress. I'm open to them altering it anyway they want.

You could tell them a husband is included - at no additional cost - with the purchase of the dress.

Nah, that's not much of an incentive, is it?

Oh, yes, for some women that would be exactly what they want!!! Purchase a wedding dress and have husband included in the package? No need for anymore online dating nightmares, searching the singles ads, hoping to meet a marriage-minded guy, nope, here he is all packaged up and ready to go! "Just find me a church!" I can hear them saying!
