My Hon Bun is One!

Pin It Now! I can't believe our little girl has been here an entire year already. Sometimes the days seemed so long, but the year has been so short! I have had loads of fun playing dress up with her, having a girly, pink butterfly room, and picking up Carebears and dollies off the floor. She has brought so much joy to our home, and she has a smile that makes your heart melt like honey butter!!

The beautiful Birthday Princess!

The Birthday Girl and her very proud Mommy!

The very yummy strawberry butterfly cake. I made the cake to match the butterflies on her crib quilt.

Shiloh loved her cake and ate every bit!

Ooh, presents! She got so many fun toys, cute clothes and hats to match, and books, my favorite being The Itsy, Bitsy Spider that literally made her jump and crawl away.

Mommy, Daddy, Mullin and Lincoln gave her a Disney Princess ride on/push toy which she absolutely adores. I love it when she puts on her bracelet, necklace and crown that came with it.

I am looking forward to another year with this precious and feisty little princess!

I Love You This Much

Pin It Now! Lincoln is fascinated with numbers, so instead of holding out his arms while proclaiming his love to us, he always assigns each family member with a number. Sometimes he says he loves me 242,000, but sometimes the number goes only as high as 1, 248. I guess our numbers change depending on how he is feeling on any given day. If he doesn't get his way, I think that affects our numbers as well. Shiloh always seems to score pretty high, though, even after she bangs him in the head with a car. Not fair, I am the one that does everything for him!! Anyway, I am just thankful that he always gives God the highest number and Satan always scores a big fat zero!

Arizona Trip

Pin It Now! We had such a fun time visiting my desert family!

We like to pick, eat and juice Grandma's homegrown apples. Even Shiloh liked them. She would stand under the tree and make the sign for "more" over and over again!!

Lincoln had fun feeding Grandma and Grandpa D's turtle. Shiloh was fascinated by this little creature.

Both my sister and my brother have pools, and the boys absolutely loved swimming. Even Shiloh liked the water.

Mullin and Lincoln loved playing with all of their boy cousins.

We celebrated Grandpa D's birthday while we were there.

My Grandpa came out to see me and the kids. Pictured are my sister and her 4 kids, me and my 3 kids, my brother's wife(expecting twin boys!), my mom and my grandpa. Shiloh and her cousin, Olivia will be so outnumbered!!!

Having fun with bubbles!

We love and miss everyone!!

Carrot Casserole

Pin It Now! *Dedicated to my sister

* Ground turkey (approx. 1 lb.)
* Salt and pepper
* Garlic salt
* Potatoes (approx. 3 med.-large)
* Carrots (I use packaged matchstick carrots usually found near salad bags)
* 1 8oz. can tomato sauce
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1 small onion

Pat ground meat into bottom of large glass casserole dish. Sprinkle meat with seasonings. Top with carrots, sliced onion, and potatoes cut into 1/2 in. thick matchsticks. (I steam the vegetables until a bit tender before putting them into the dish to cut down on cooking time in the oven.) Mix tomato sauce with cream and pour over the vegetables in the dish. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for approx. 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

*This recipe doesn't sound like it would be very tasty, but it is and my husband even likes it. :)

Home Sweet Home

Pin It Now! I am back home from my Arizona trip. Had a blast. Made good memories. Will post pictures when I have a moment to sort through them.
